Rich is a graduate of Norwin Senior High School and Westmoreland County Community College . He holds an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts and is a member of the American Culinary Federation, Laurel Highlands Chapter. He is certified in Food Service Sanitation with the Allegheny County Health Department, National Restaurant Association, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Food Safety and Sanitation. Rich is currently the reigning champion from the Home Plate Competition at the Westmoreland County Community College held in front of appoximately 1300 spectators.
Rich has done a college internship with the Church Hill Valley Country Club, and has worked in a few local restaurants. He is currently employed with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections as a Culinary Food Service Instructor.
Kathy is a Norwin Senior High School Graduate, along with Business Careers Institute in Greensburg, and C.W.A.V.T.S in Food Service Management. Kathy has worked in the restaurant field since 1982 starting as a cashier at Burger Chef North Huntingdon/Greensburg. Then went to Wendy’s International as an Assistant Manager promoted to Co-Manager of the Restaurant within the 1st year of employment. Kathy then went to Red Lobster in Greensburg, as Service Manager and Beverage Hospitality Manager and on to a restaurant in Irwin as the Dining Room & Banquet Manager for 7 years. Kathy is also certified in Food Safety and Sanitation, and licensed through the Department of Agriculture in the Food Service Industry.
